General Information and Updates:
(1) The songs have been posted in a
<pre> HTML format, so parts may get chopped out on the right side of the songs. To fix this, just copy and paste the whole song from this page to your simple text editor and you should see the whole piece.(2) I have removed the bulky Scribd flash objects from the main pages and the towers of links and replacing them with plain links and index pages hosted on this site. Sites are being tidied up in other ways too. Started posting separate tabs pages. Sorry for the frequent changes to the site - its still very much a work in refinement. Feedback welcome.
Update: Completed removals for all sites - moved all downloadable files to Scribd and embedded them into the new downloads section. .(13-09-09)

(3) Regular postings have ceased on all sites as of now. Some random posting may be done if time permits. Final year M.B.B.S. leaves very little time to spare.

(4) GoldenJazz has been retired.
(5) Started replacing old-style links on some pages (mostly on DesiChords), with bread-crumb links. Hope to finish the work before the Pujas. Whole lot of posts coming up during Pujas - posts for the next 6 months all planned out. (09-09-09)

(6) As I can not store these files on my free Bolgspot.com blog, I host them on Scribd (its safe). They do not allow downloads without signing in. So, just sign in with your Open ID (available with Gmail ID, Yahoo ID, etc. - read more here), or simpler still, create a Scribd account (for free) and download them to disk. Rest assured, its all free. Nothing has actually changed on this site - its just that I have installed these file viewers directly on a site of mine so that you can view the pdfs in the same environment before visiting an external website. (8) Comment Moderation: Some of you must have noticed that the comment you just posted does not show up for several hours. This is simply because I have to moderate them. Any real comment - praises or hate mail, will be allowed as soon as I see them. The feature has been activated as some people started posting links and text related to less than savory sites - the names need not be mentioned. I can not allow those lest it brings down the entire site due to defamation. Hence, I am constrained to put even the constructive critics through this validation. Inconvenience is sincerely regretted. It was never so till those posts came up a few days ago. (29-09/09)
(9)Reworked the page titles to shorten them for better readability. Tweaked the whole design of the site to clean it all up a little; pages had gotten really messy. P.s. added the social bookmarking buttons to this site just to match the theme of the other sites - and if you wish, bookmark the index pages. (3-5/10/09)
(10)Removed the embedded YouTube videos and replaced them with a search query URL. Did so for the following reasons:
- Copyright uncertainty of the videos and if indeed they were uploaded by the right holder's company
- Speed up page loads and bring down page size
- Make the pages load faster for slower connections like dial-up, 3G/WAP
- You get to decide if you actually want to play the song or not
- You get to choose your version from the search page at YouTube
- YouTube search results include many free guitar video tutorials of that song hosted there
- If the right holder wants, their video can be removed straight off YouTube and no infringed copy will be linked to from these sites
(11) Vacations are over. Semester's up in 7 days flat. Finals early in Jan '10. Won't blog anything for the next months or so. Wish me luck! For the time being, search for your songs on the one any only IGT. It may look a bit messy on the boards, but trust me, its shear gold. (24/10/09)
(12) Added a "latest comments" list on the sidebar. You can visit any page of the site and check out the latest comments made. I guess it will be quite helpful to see when your comments actually show up beyond the point of spam guard. (15/11/09)
